WFM Market News - September 5, 2024

Hi Market Friends,

September is here! Kids back in school, fall produce coming in, and the promise of cooler weather ahead. SNAP and HIP are refreshed for the month, so make sure you get your HIP purchases in early, and don’t forget that we will match up to $10 in SNAP tokens each week.

POP Club members, stop by the SNAP table to check in and pick up your POP Bucks. POP activities may have ended for the season but there’s still plenty to see and discover at the Market!

See you Thursday!

Free Balance Screen

Rachel Burke from Pioneer Valley On The Move will be offering a free balance screen at the Farmers Market this Thursday from 12-2pm! A balance screening offers several important benefits, including the ability to identify fall risk and improve stability. By pinpointing weaknesses in your balance, you can focus on specific exercises that enhance stability, thereby reducing the likelihood of injury.

Ray's Family Farm

Ray’s Family Farm has been in business in greater Westfield for over 40 years, providing the best, freshest quality produce at affordable prices, together with fantastic flowers and plants for your home and gardening needs.

Northside Creamery

We offer many unique flavors that are very rich and creamy. At the farmers market we will provide our customers with a wonderful, delightful, creamy experience. Northside Creamery’s motto is Ice Cream Solves Everything!

Classic Grille

Classic Grille is committed to making a great tasting hamburger! Starting with locally sourced, grass-fed beef, a home made bun from our family owned bakery in Russell, MA, and topped with sauces created in our kitchen. Sides will include fresh crispy fries, and drinks from Harmony Springs, located in Ludlow, MA.

ACTS Giant Mum Sale

ECOTA is participating in the Action Centered Tutoring Services (ACTS) annual fall fund-raising event with the sale of beautiful mums! ACTS Giant Mum Sale is a major fund-raiser that helps support free tutoring services for children in our community.

Mums can be ordered at the ECOTA table at this Thursday's market and will be available for pickup on September 15th and 22nd. Cash and checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to ACTS. Thank you for supporting ACTS!
