WFM Market News - June 20

Hi Market Friends,

Summer officially arrives this week and it’s going to be hot! If you’re not in the mood for cooking, there are plenty of take home food options at the market to help you beat the heat. Stop by Ascentria’s tent between 12 – 4 and you can sample a pickled carrot, cucumber, and radish banh mi wrap and take home the recipe. Doesn’t that sound refreshing?

This week’s heat is a reminder of how important tree canopies are to providing shade and decreasing summer air temperatures in our neighborhoods. Stop by WEPRA’s tent this week and learn you can sign up for a free tree as part of the MA Urban Canopy Project.

POP Club is planting sunflower seeds with a Master Gardener from WMMGA this week to take home and grow over the summer.  Learn more about POP Club and sign up here.

See you Thursday!
