Opening Day!

WFM Market News June 6, 2024. Opening Day!

Hi Market Friends,

Welcome back to Westfield Farmers Market!  It’s our 10th season at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement, and we’re looking forward to a bountiful season. The rain and warm weather have us excited about early June delights like strawberries, asparagus, and leafy lettuces. YUM!

Have you heard about POP Club, our new free program for kids ages 4-12? Learn more and sign up here!

SNAP customers, it’s the beginning of the month and HIP benefits have renewed! That means $40-$80 of free local produce each month, depending on your family size. Stop by the SNAP Tent to learn more about HIP and for a weekly SNAP Match of up to $10.

As you may know, the magnificent Copper Beech that graced the church’s front lawn was succumbing to several ailments, including beech leaf disease, and was cut down last winter. This spring, the church planted Black Gum and Linden trees, and we need to give them space to establish healthy roots. As a result, the Market has a new layout this season. If you have questions, or are looking for a particular vendor, ask any volunteer and we’ll get you pointed in the right direction.

See you Thursday!

Lisa,
