WFM Market News - September 12, 2024

Hi Market Friends,

Warm days and crisp nights- what a perfect start to September. We welcome apples, cabbage, onions, winter squash and gorgeous fall flowers, even as we say farewell to the peaches and melons. If you’re in need of inspiration or recipe ideas, Ascentria Care Alliance SNAP-Ed is at the market this week from 2PM-5PM with samples of local apples and dip plus new fall recipes that use many of the fresh ingredients that you’ll find at the market.

SNAP customers, after you use HIP for produce purchases, visit the SNAP tent for your market tokens and $10 SNAP match.  Not familiar with HIP or WFM’s SNAP Match? Stop by the SNAP tent and we’re happy to explain.

POP Club members, stop by the SNAP tent to sign in and pick up your POP Bucks. Then stop by the Ascentria Tent to try a taste of local apples and dip (with your parent’s permission!)

It’s hard to believe but there are only 6 weeks left of the WFM market season. Now’s the time to find a unique handcrafted holiday gift from one of the many talented crafters and artisans at the market. Or, treat someone to a WFM gift certificate, available for purchase at the Entrance tent.

See you Thursday!
